I Will Sing /

These are the words to a song I have written. If fact, this is the first Hebrew song I have completed. Below the Hebrew lyrics, I have added an English translation of the Hebrew so those who can’t read Hebrew can still enjoy the song’s meaning–although the translation does not rhyme. (And in case you don’t know, El means God in Hebrew.)

I Will Sing

(Verse 1)
I will tell of the King killed for me
Of His great forgiveness, that in Him I am free
Of His beautiful glory at the right hand of El
Only He is the Savior, Redeemer, and Deliverer

(Chorus)
I will lift my voice to Him
I will sing to my El
For He will guard me and will not leave me
I will tell of His glory
I will praise now His Son
For He will lead me forever

(Verse 2)
Only in Him I have joy, peace, and hope
In Him I am healed, alive, happy, saved
He made me to do His desire
To shine, to serve, and to sing His praise

(Verse 3)
He is a fountain full of sustenance for me
He shepherds well and will guard my soul
I will look to the heavens with a satisfied heart
For He is establishing a house and there I am going

(Verse 4)
Yes, He is a high rock for me in grief and storm
How great a happiness that He chose me!
Thanks to Him, yes, I will go to El
And so there I will continue, in gratitude, to praise

(Chorus)
I will lift my voice to Him
I will sing to my El
For He will guard me and will not leave me
I will tell of His glory
I will praise now His Son
For He will lead me forever
For He will watch me forever
For He will lead me forever!

I am a sixteen-year-old girl who loves to write, especially fiction. I write many stories and poems. I usually have a moral or lesson behind my writings, for I hope these stories and poems, which Yehovah (God) helped me to write, will glorify Him as I share them on this blog. Welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy your stay!

  1. This was a beautiful poem, Faith! What a way to praise God. And even though I do not know Hebrew, the Hebrew writing is beautiful as well.

    1. Thank you. I know, Hebrew letters are SO beautiful! I doubt I could ever tire of Hebrew; I’m so passionate about it!
